1.1	To instil a love and generate greater interest in Mathematics among Primary school students.
1.2	To provide an avenue of showcasing our students' abilities.
1.3	To identify and nurture mathematical talents in our youths.

2.1	This competition is opened to ALL students who have not enrolled in PRIMARY SIX level or equivalent (for private and international schools).
2.2	Participants are reminded to bring along a 2B pencil and a soft eraser.
2.3	The competition consists of a WRITTEN ROUND (18th August 2006) and the FINALS (26th August 2006) that will be held on different days.
2.4	There are TWO categories for this competition:
	SCHOOL Category INDIVIDUAL Category
2.5	No calculators are allowed.
2.6	The level of difficulty is pitched at PRIMARY FIVE level.

3.1	Each school is allowed to enter a maximum of TWO teams. Each team should consist of four team- members. A maximum of TWO reserves for each team are allowed.
3.2	The registration fee per team-member or reserve is EIGHT DOLLARS.
3.3	All teams will participate in the written round and the top THREE teams will be invited to participate in the FINALS.
3.4	The TOP THREE teams will be selected based on the combined scores of their FOUR team-members. The score of the reserve(s) will only be considered in the event when team-members are unable to take part in the competition.
3.5	Team scores will start afresh in the finals of the competition.
3.6	Team-members and reserve(s) are also eligible for the INDIVIDUAL PRIZES.

4.1	Students may sign up for this competition either through their schools as individual participants.
4.2	Participants are only eligible for the INDIVIDUAL PRIZES.
4.3	The registration fee per participant is EIGHT DOLLARS.

5.1	Prizes will be awarded to the TOP TEN participants from each ZONE (North, South, East and West) based only on their scores in the written round.
5.2	All participants will receive a certificate showing their level of achievement (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention and Participation).

5.3	Prizes will be awarded to the TOP TEN school teams based on their scores in the written round with the exception of the top 3 teams.
5.4	Prizes for the TOP 3 school teams will be based on the scores in the FINALS.

6.1	The WRITTEN ROUND of the competition will be held on FRIDAY, 18th AUGUST 2006.
6.2	Schools will conduct the written round in their own premises.
6.3	Schools have to arrange for their own teachers to invigilate the competitions (without monetary compensation from the organizer). The organizer will not provide invigilators to schools. Nevertheless, the organizer will deliver/collect the question/answer scripts to/from schools. Details on such arrangements will be provided nearer the competition date.
6.4	Schools will start the competition at 2.30 pm. Schools are required to adhere to this schedule of the competition. This is to maintain fairness to all participants.
6.5	The duration of the competition is TWO hours.

7.1	The FINALS of the competition and PRIZE PRESENTATION CEREMONY will take place on SATURDAY, 26th AUGUST 2006 at 8 am at the NUS High School Auditorium.
7.2	Each school is to appoint a representative to collect the certificates during the prize presentation ceremony.

8.1	Schools are to coordinate the registration of their students.
8.2	Only registrations completed using the template provided by the organizer will be accepted. The template is available for download here. No other formats will be processed and the organizer will not make format conversions for schools.
8.3	The closing date for registration is 07 AUGUST 2006, 12 noon. All completed form must be emailed as an attachment to us before the closing date. This deadline will not be extended due to tight working schedule.
8.4	To include more participants after initial submission but before closing date, complete a second registration form and email as an attachment to us before the closing date. Do not combine and submit with the initial list because it will slow down processing and may lead to errors. Late submissions will not be processed.
8.5	To make amendments such as spelling after submission but before closing date, email the changes to us before the closing date. Provide as much details as possible for quick processing. Late submissions will not be processed.
8.6	Payment must reach the organizer before the closing date. Registration will only be confirmed upon receiving the payment. No extension is allowed.
8.7	For cheque payment, address the payee as "NUS HIGH SCHOOL OF MATH AND SCIENCE" and mail the cheque to NUS High School of Math and Science, 20 Clementi Ave 1, Singapore 129957.
8.8	Please write the following details on the reverse side of your cheque:
	a) NMOS b) Name of your school c) Contact number of the teacher-in-charge
8.9	Receipts will be issued and mailed to schools once payment is received in good order.

9.1	A surcharge of FIVE DOLLARS will be imposed for any of the following.
	Change of team-member for SCHOOL Category Reprint of each certificate
9.2	All decisions made by the organizers and judges will be final.
9.3	Students' performance will be made known to their respective schools.
9.4	We regret that there is no refund whatsoever after payment has been made.
