Alfred Bernhard Nobel is the inventor of dynamite and the founder of the present day’s most honorable award – The Nobel Prize. Nobel believed that everyone should work together towards the benefit of humanity. Thus, in his will, he left a vast fortune dedicated to rewarding people whose works are significant contribution to society.

My dynamite will soon lead to peace than a thousand world
conventions. As soon as men will find that in one instant, whole
armies can be utterly destroyed, the surely will abide by golden piece.

Nobel believed that his invention would bring peace. Upon discovering that his new technology was used to start bloodier and larger scale wars, Nobel was devastated. This was the main reason for his founding of the Nobel Prize.

Like dynamite, Nobel house displays explosive, passion and enthusiasm. The spirit and strength of Nobel house has grown over the years, and we have established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with. May the hearts of all Nobellions unite as we set off 2009 with a bang! Go Nobel!
