Beginners start off with aero-modelling, starting with control-line planes, thereafter radio-controlled planes and helicopters.

 

Members will also be sent for training with the Singapore Youth Flying Club, where they will attend courses and workshops such as the Junior Aviators Course, Flight Leaders Course and Assistant Aviators Course. At these workshops, they will learn more about aviation, gain leadership skills, interact with students from other schools and get the chance to visit the various Airbases as well as have a joyride on the C-130 plane.

 

While we are a young club, having started only in 2008, our members have already taken part in interschool competitions such as the SYFC Aeromodelling Competition.

 

Along the way, interested members will also get the chance to catch a ride on a four-seater, single propeller plane – the Piper Warrior. Some will even get the chance to have a ride on an F-16 Fighting Falcon!

 

Older members will even get the chance to take up Flight Training and work towards obtaining a private pilot license (PPL), where they will learn to fly a real plane.
