1. The NUS High School of Math and Science (NUS High School) receives capitation grant from MOE to run our school. The
school fees take cognizance of the capitation grant received and the cost of educating our students.
2. The school fees and the capitation grant is insufficient to provide for the many activities that independent and integrated
programme schools undertake. NUS High School will charge supplementary fees of $240 per annum or $20 per month for
2007. The supplementary fees will help defray costs of school-wide activities and programs where each and every student
will benefit. The amount collected will cover items such as the Student Protection Plan (Insurance), School newsletters/
publications, students transport for major school events and special interest lectures.

Collection of Fees Through Inter-Bank Giro Scheme
4. All fees are to be collected through the Inter-bank Giro Scheme. Procedures for Inter-bank Giro Scheme are as follows:
- It is compulsory for parents / guardians of students to take part in the Inter-bank Giro scheme. Parents / guardians must have a savings or current account.
- Parents / Guardians are to submit the Direct Debit Authorization application form for the scheme within the first week when school reopens. The form will be sent to you through your child/ ward on the first day of school.
- Fees due from students will then be automatically deducted through the scheme. A copy of the form in PDF is available here.
5. Parents / guardians are advised to ensure that sufficient funds are available in their bank account on the due dates. Should
deductions via the Giro scheme is unsuccessful due to insufficient funds, students will pay the fees by cheque / cash at the
School’s General Office, subject to an administrative charge of S$10.
6. Fees are collected via Giro within the first 7 days of the month it is due, except stated otherwise.

7. Where activities or programmes are not covered under the School’s fees or supplementary fees and eligible for payment
using the Edusave Accounts, the School will issue a consent form to institute the parent to authorise the withdrawal following
from the student’s such payments through Edusave account to pay for such programs.
