I love the teachers at NUS High School. To me, they are more than educators, they are our counsellors, advisers and friends... all rolled into one! When we feel troubled, we know we can always turn to our teachers for guidance and support. Most of all, they are really passionate about Science and Maths and the spirit is really infectious!
If you ask me where’s the best place to hang out, I’d say it’s the NUS High School library! Besides the great volume of literature that I can pore over, I just love the ambience. I feel at ease here and totally at home. In fact, I feel totally at home everywhere at NUS High School!
As an international student on A*STAR scholarship residing far away from home, NUS High School is now like a second home to me. Although the language may be a stumbling block at times, the teachers and friends help me to adapt to this new environment and I’m growing fonder and fonder of being here everyday.
I chose NUS High School because I know that it’ll add a new dimension to my learning journey. Here I can learn and share ideas on Maths and Science with like-minded friends. With great friends and great facilities, learning will be lots of fun!
At NUS High School, I find myself learning more as we are encouraged to do more independent research and activities. Through these, I become more patient, generous, thoughtful and creative. I will never regret coming here and I really like this school and the people here.
I chose NUS High School as it provides a wide variety of courses, many of which are beneficial for my future. Its fully equipped facilities are great too, especially for studying and carrying out experiments. Another big plus is the well-trained teachers who have experienced backgrounds in their specific areas.
Our school has well-equipped facilities, ranging from basketball courts to running tracks to hostels as well as rooftop tennis courts. These enable us to enjoy many different activities during our free time so we will never complain of being bored!
As I am keen on Maths and Science, NUS High School is just the place for me. And it’s been one of the best choices I’ve made so far! The classes are challenging but not stressful, and the teachers are all so friendly.
So far, studying at NUS High School has been an enriching learning experience for me. Instead of just studying solely from the textbooks, the school has many interesting activities that not only enhance our knowledge but also engage our creativity.
When I first heard of NUS High School, I knew that my dream would be fulfilled in this school. Here, Math and Science are taught in depth and over a very wide range to quench our insatiable thirst for knowledge. The modular system will nurture us to become independent individuals and allow us to accelerate modules that we are effectively engaged in.

In astronomy, we are looking into the past. Peering through the telescopes, the stars are brought closer, allowing us to appreciate the universe and discover how and why the planets come to be what they are.
During my study in NUS High School, I was tutored by Professor Chong from National University of Singapore. Learning Linear Point Set Theory with Professor Chong is both challenging and enlightening. With his minimalistic approach to teaching, I learnt to be independent and able to explore into fields that I have not ventured before.
