SIMC 2008 is an international mathematics event that provides opportunities to fuel students’ interest in mathematics and spur them to reach for greater heights. The event aims to bring together bright mathematics students from around the world to pit their skills in a rigorous competition where they will demonstrate their creativity and mathematical skills through a mathematical modelling challenge. In addition to the competition for students, symposiums and workshops will be planned for participating teachers and principals.
National University of Singapore High School of Mathematics and Science (NUS High School) will be co-organising the inaugural Singapore International Mathematics Challenge 2008 (SIMC 2008) with the Ministry of Education, Singapore, in May 2008.
